How we choose
Melasma and post-inflammatory pigmentation can look similar and respond very differently. Treating the wrong one with a laser can make it worse, so we identify the pattern before selecting anything.
Fitzpatrick typing plus your history of reacting to treatment decides the starting energy. Deeper skin tones are started lower and built up, never the reverse.
For laser courses and stronger peels we test a small area first and review it before booking the full course.
Active acne, an untreated thyroid problem or low ferritin need medical management first. A laser on top of an uncontrolled cause is money spent for a result that will not hold.
