General & booking

7 questions
Do I need a consultation before starting treatment?

Yes, every time. The consultation covers your concern, medical history, medications and previous treatments, plus a skin assessment. It also lets us rule out contraindications — pregnancy, certain medications, active infection and recent isotretinoin all change what is safe.

How do I book an appointment?

Through the form on our contact page, on WhatsApp at 0302-1436060, or by calling the clinic. WhatsApp is usually the fastest during clinic hours.

Do you take walk-ins?

We work by appointment so that each patient gets unhurried time. Walk-ins can usually be accommodated within the same week, but rarely the same hour.

What are your opening hours?

Monday to Saturday, 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Closed Sunday.

Where exactly is the clinic?

Near Gymkhana in Vehari, with parking directly in front. Look for the Beyond Beauty signboard above the entrance. Patients also travel to us from Burewala, Mailsi, Luddan and Gaggo Mandi.

Who will perform my treatment?

Dr. Bareera Usman, MBBS, performs or directly supervises all consultations, injectables and laser sessions. Procedures are not delegated to untrained staff.

Can I bring someone with me?

Yes. Many patients bring a family member, particularly for a first consultation.

Safety & suitability

7 questions
Are these treatments safe for brown and darker skin?

Yes, when the device, wavelength and settings are matched to your Fitzpatrick skin type. Melanin-rich skin carries a higher risk of post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, so we treat conservatively, patch test where indicated, and build energy across sessions rather than starting at maximum.

What hygiene protocol do you follow?

Instruments are autoclaved between patients with cycle records kept. Needles, cannulas and microneedling cartridges are single-use and never reused. Treatment surfaces are disinfected between every appointment and sharps go through clinical waste channels.

Can I have treatment while pregnant or breastfeeding?

Some treatments are safe and many are not. Injectables, most lasers and several peel agents are avoided in pregnancy. Tell us at consultation and we will build a plan around what is appropriate, which is sometimes a medical-grade skincare routine until later.

I've taken isotretinoin. Can I have laser or peels?

Not for at least six months after finishing. Skin on or recently off isotretinoin heals abnormally and carries a much higher risk of scarring from resurfacing treatments.

What if I have a skin condition like eczema or psoriasis?

Tell us. Treatment is often still possible but the plan and the timing change, and we avoid treating areas in an active flare.

Do you patch test?

For laser courses and for patients with sensitive or reactive skin, yes. A small test area is treated and reviewed after 24 to 48 hours before the course is booked.

What are the risks?

Every procedure carries some risk. Depending on the treatment these can include redness, swelling, bruising, temporary or lasting pigment change, blistering, infection and scarring. The specific risks for your treatment are discussed before you consent.

Results & expectations

6 questions
How many sessions will I need?

It depends entirely on the concern. A HydraFacial gives results after one session. Acne scarring, melasma and hair restoration typically need four to eight. You will be given a specific number in writing after your assessment.

Is laser hair removal permanent?

No. It produces long-lasting reduction, not permanent removal. Most patients need six to eight sessions and then a maintenance session once or twice a year, because dormant follicles can be reactivated by hormonal change.

How soon will I see results?

Same day for HydraFacial. Two to three sessions for laser hair reduction. Four to six weeks for a medical acne plan. Three months or more for melasma control and hair restoration.

Will my results last?

Some are durable and some need maintenance. Melasma and hormonal acne are chronic conditions that are controlled rather than cured. We tell you which category your concern falls into before you commit.

What's the difference between an acne mark and an acne scar?

A mark is flat discolouration and fades on its own over three to twelve months, faster with sun protection. A scar is a change in the skin's structure — an indentation — and does not fade. They need completely different treatment, which is why we distinguish them at the first visit.

Can you guarantee results?

No, and nobody honestly can. Outcomes depend on skin type, age, hormones, adherence to aftercare and sun protection. What we can do is tell you at the outset where we expect limited improvement.

Comfort & downtime

5 questions
Will treatment hurt?

Most treatments feel like warmth, snapping or mild pressure. Microneedling and stronger peels are more uncomfortable, so topical numbing is applied beforehand. We describe the sensation honestly at consultation — 'painless' is not a word we use.

How much downtime should I plan for?

HydraFacial and carbon facials have none. Peels may flake for two to four days. Microneedling leaves redness for one to two days. Injectables can bruise. Tell us if you have an event and we will schedule around it.

I have a wedding coming up. What can I have?

Tell us the date at your first visit and we plan backwards from it. HydraFacial is safe two to five days before. Peels, microneedling and injectables need more clearance. Starting three months out gives far more options than starting three weeks out.

Can I wear makeup afterwards?

Same day after HydraFacial. After peels, microneedling or injectables we ask you to wait — the specific timing is in your written aftercare.

Can I go in the sun after treatment?

Not directly, and daily broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher is required after almost everything we do. Sun exposure on recently treated skin is the main cause of pigmentation problems in brown skin.

Pricing & payment

5 questions
How much do treatments cost?

Prices depend on the area and the number of sessions, so we quote after your assessment rather than over the phone. Course pricing is lower than paying session by session. Message us on WhatsApp for a current price range.

Do you offer packages?

Yes, for treatments that require a course. If your assessment shows you need fewer sessions than the standard course, you pay for fewer.

Is the consultation charged?

The consultation is charged as a consultation. It includes assessment, standardised photography and a written plan you keep, whether or not you go on to book treatment.

Do you sell the medicines you prescribe?

No. Prescriptions are filled at a pharmacy of your choice. We do not mark up medication.

What if I want to stop a course partway?

You can. We will tell you honestly whether stopping will lose the progress made, which for some courses it does.

Aftercare

5 questions
What aftercare will I be given?

Written instructions specific to your treatment: what to use, what to avoid, what is normal in the first 48 hours, and when to contact us. You also get a WhatsApp line for concerns between visits.

Something doesn't look right after my treatment. What should I do?

Message us on WhatsApp with a photo, or call the clinic. Do not wait for your next appointment and do not apply a remedy someone recommends. Most post-treatment worries are normal healing, but we would rather look.

Which products should I stop before treatment?

Retinoids, glycolic and salicylic acids and physical scrubs are usually paused for a few days before and after. Bring your current products, or photos of them, to your consultation.

I'm using a fairness cream. Should I mention it?

Yes, and please bring it. Many unlabelled creams contain steroids or mercury, both of which cause rebound problems and change what we can safely do. This is one of the most useful things you can tell us.

Do I need to keep using sunscreen after finishing a course?

Yes, permanently. For pigmentation and melasma especially, sun protection is what holds the result. Stopping it is the most common reason patients relapse.
